Work Environment changes in the Work Environment Act means that the developer must designate appropriate safety coordinator – for planning and design, BAS-P, and for the performance of work, BAS-U. The requirement for documented knowledge of the person appointed as BAS-P/BAS-U applies from the 1st January 2011.
The course is a 1-day course and concludes with a knowledge test. After completing the course, you receive knowledge of what responsibilities are provided upon the client, developers and building work environment co-ordinator BAS-P/BAS-U and how it should be the provided in practice.
Appropriate prior knowledge is practical experience from the construction industry in supervisory positions. We recommend that you have completed our health and safety training or have equivalent working knowledge acquired in other ways.[/fancy-ul]
Eligibility/Certificates
After completing the training and passing the test the participant will receive a training certificate/diploma.
