On May 3^rd , Sweden’s Construction Industries “BI” and the Trade Unions “Byggnads” met a new construction agreement within the industry’s 6.5 per cent brand, which lasts over three years. The new construction agreement includes extended working time rules to create better adaptability. The parties have also agreed on a job introduction and a new internship to facilitate people who are far away from the labor market to get employment in the construction industry. Changes will also be made in the safety officers training.

In addition, the section regarding occupational workers is clarified – workers with more than 6 years of professional qualification receive compensation at the same level as those with professional qualifications. This will affect workers from Sweden as well as from other EU countries.
